Sonia Elizabeth Di Placido is a published poet, playwright, and author. She published her first chapbook of poems, Vulva Magic (LyricalMyracle Press) in 2004, a second chapbook, Forest Primitive (Aelous House Press) in 2008. She was part of the Loudspeaker Festival Publication: "Walk Myself Home, An Anthology to end Violence Against Women." Sonia is currently completing a Master of Fine Art in Creative Writing through the University of British Columbia, Optional-Residency Program. Her first full length book of poetry titled, ‘Exaltations in Cadmium Red’, will be launched Fall 2012, Guernica Editions.
