Jhordan Layne is a Black scholar based in Ka’torohkwi (Kingston) on the territory of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee and Huron-Wendat. He is a doctoral candidate at Queen’s University. His poetry has appeared in EVENT magazine. His criticism has appeared in The Journal of West Indian Literature.
