How to Support

  1. Visit our Purchase page to begin the purchasing process.
  2. Review our Payment Information and Payment Options before selecting the type of purchase you would like to make. You can buy either Subscriptions or Single Issues, as accessed through the left sidebar.
  3. Purchasing subscriptions: Note that subscriptions are divided by the location of purchase and subscription type. Any subscriptions delivered to mailing addresses outside of Canada are considered "US & International." Subscription types can be "Individual" (personal use) and "Institutional" (library or university use). Personal subscriptions cannot be resold, and proof of personal status may be requested. To prevent delays in processing your purchase, ensure that you have selected the appropriate subscription type and location. Once completed, click the Checkout button under "Cart Details" in the left sidebar to be taken to the payment page.
  4. Purchasing single issues: Single issues can be purchased by "Individuals" or "Institutions." Simply add the issue to your cart, then click the Checkout button under "Cart Details" in the left sidebar to be taken to the payment page. The price will be updated according to the provided mailing address, as well as the self-reported number of single issues purchased on behalf of an institution.
  5. Fill in your Contact and Shipping Information, and verify that your Shopping Cart contains the proper subscriptions and single issues for purchase. Click "Submit."
  6. You will be taken to UBC's Secure ePayment System, where you can pay with credit card (MasterCard or VISA) or by bank transfer (Interac).
  7. Once your payment has been processed, you will receive an email verifying the purchase.

Why Support Canadian Literature

Issue launch for Of Borders and Bioregions, special issue of Canadian Literature 218.

Since 1959, Canadian Literature has been at the leading edge of literary culture in Canada. Each quarter, we publish the latest Canadian literary scholarship, new poetry, and extensive book reviews. By supporting Canadian Literature, you will help us continue to publish incisive literary criticism, promote the best new Canadian poetry, as well as support, develop, and maintain innovative digital content like the CanLit Guides.

You can also help us support the next generation of students by giving them valuable work experience in an academic publishing environment. The Canadian Literature Student Award enables students to acquire practical experience in publishing, research, and writing. Our hope is that their experience at Canadian Literature will motivate them to engage with the university community and publishing environment for years to come. Please read testimonies from our award recipients and consider making a donation to give the next generation of students valuable work experience in an academic publishing environment.
