Adam Carlson

Adam Carlson lives and works on Treaty 6 land. Teaching in the University of Alberta’s department of English and Film Studies and at the French-language Campus Saint-Jean, he researches settler-colonial technocratic knowledge production and the cultural politics of extractive infrastructures. He is co-editor of Petrocultures: Oil, Politics, Culture (2017), which has just entered its second printing from McGill-Queen’s University Press. He is also a contributor to After Oil (West Virginia, 2016), and his recent work has appeared in Energy Humanities.
